Frequently asked questions

No. The plugin is completely free and takes zero commission. The only fees are standard payment gateway fees from Stripe (~2.9% + 30¢) or PayPal (~2.9% + 30¢), which go directly to those services — not to us.
Currently Stripe and PayPal are supported. Stripe handles credit/debit cards and includes support for recurring subscriptions. PayPal covers one-time donations. More gateways may be added in future releases.
Recurring donations are powered by Stripe Subscriptions. When a supporter checks “Make it recurring”, Stripe creates a subscription and bills them monthly or yearly. Supporters can manage and cancel their subscription from their account page on your site.
Yes. The donation page at ?share_coffee is a standalone full-page template that bypasses your theme entirely — so it looks consistent everywhere. The shortcodes and Gutenberg block inherit your theme’s layout but use their own styles.
The plugin requires WordPress 4.5+ and PHP 7.4+. It has been tested up to the latest stable WordPress release and follows WordPress coding standards.
